Thank you for using Shelfroom (the “Application,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the Application, why it is processed, how it is handled, and how you can contact us.

Shelfroom is a personal library and bookshelf organization application. It lets you catalog books, customize virtual shelves, save quotes, track reading activity, import library data, scan ISBN barcodes, and export shelf images.

1. Information We Process

1.1 Information stored locally on your device

The following information is normally stored only on your device:

• Your book library, including titles, authors, ISBNs, cover and spine images, reading and ownership status, ratings, notes, tags, and other book details
• Your virtual shelves, shelf layouts, decorations, backgrounds, and other customizations
• Quotes and text recognized from images
• Reading sessions, goals, progress, and statistics
• Application settings and locally cached subscription status
• Library files you choose to import and shelf images you choose to export

We do not operate a cloud backup or synchronization service for this content. Unless a feature is expressly described below as using an online service, your library content remains on your device.

1.2 Information processed for online features

When you use an online feature, we may process:

• An anonymous identifier generated by Firebase Authentication. This identifier is not a Shelfroom profile and does not require your name, email address, or password.
• Book search terms, ISBNs, selected language or locale, and request timing when you search for or look up book information
• Usage counters associated with the anonymous identifier, used to apply request limits and prevent abuse
